ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 15^th December 2009 IVER FLYFISHERS

MEETING OPENED: 8.12pm

CHAIRMAN: Ken opened by thanking Brian Whitty for organising the Hall, saying how impressed he was, it seems ideal.

APPOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE: Bill Johnson, John Weaver, and Allen Dixon.

SECRETARY: Roy announced his retirement from the committee, saying that he would take the minutes for the last time tonight, and organise the Xmas bash for Feb. 2010. The same venue as last year (the Elva Lodge) has been booked for Feb.6^th.

Minutes of last AGM: Approved by Ray and seconded by Eddie.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Ray explained that the cheque for £192 had not been cashed because of the mix up at the AMFC at Chew Valley in Oct. this year.

XMAS MATCH: Ray to book Bushylease for Dec. 27^th

ADOPTION OF BALANCE SHEETS: approved by Eddie and seconded by Roy.

NEWSLETTER EDITOR: Allen is on holiday.

AMFC ORGANISER: Ron said that it had been a very difficult year to get regular team members to fish because of all the double bookings i.e., England finals and other major comps. Being held on the same day/days. Making a stand by not fishing the Hanningfield match also contributed to us being relegated to the 3^rd group next season.

NOTICE OF MOTIONS: Proposal to change club match times.

Proposal from Ray Simpson and seconded by Eddie Gray to change the club fishing times from 9am to 6pm to 9am to 5pm.

A vote was taken and 9 were in favour, 5 against and 4 abstained. Roy proposed an amendment of 10am to 6pm, which was defeated in favour of the original proposal.

Those present accepted the new fishing times as 9am start, and 5pm finish.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS: All agreed to stay for another term (except Roy) Brian Whitty to join the committee, but no one wanted to take on the Secretary’s role.

AOB: Ray mentioned the closure of Draycote next season.
